Adolescent and Pre-Teen
Stuttering Group
WHAT: Associates in Speech, Language and Learning, Inc. will be forming a group for adolescents and pre-teens who stutter. The group treatment is provided by Mary Ann Moore, M.S., CCC-SLP, BRS-FD and Melissa Bruce, M.S., CCC-SLP, BRS-FD, both of whom hold professional speciality recognition in fluency disorders and have group treatment experience.
WHO: For adolescents, pre-teens and their parents who would like to learn more about stuttering, have a safe place for discussion, and to improve fluency skills through a variety of activities. A parent group will take place concurrently when the teen group is conducted. A sibling night will be featured later in the sequence of sessions.
WHEN: The group will meet for 1 and 1/2 hours for a 12 week period on Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:00 PM, with the start date to be determined based on the interest expressed.
COST: $65/session, monthly payments.
