Our Staff
Mary Ann Moore, MA., CCC-SLP, BRS-FD graduated from
the University of Houston with her Master of Arts degree in 1983 and was awarded the
Certificate of
Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech,
Language and Hearing Association in March 1984. She holds a state license
to practice speech-language
pathology in Texas.
Ms. Moore's experiences in the field of speech-language pathology include being an adjunct
clinical supervisor for the University of Houston and
working in the public school setting for three years prior to opening her current
practice in 1986.
She has presented at local, state and national conferences. In July 2004, Ms.
Moore was invited to
speak in Monterrey, Mexico at OCA Hospital's symposium "Actualidades in los problemas del habla y trastornos
relacionados." Her topics included teaching reading comprehension and
working with students on the autism
spectrum.
Ms. Moore is board recognized as a specialist in fluency disorders. She has
extensive experience in
treating children, adolescents and adults who stutter. in addition to her experience with fluency disorders,
Ms. Moore has extensive experience in treating children and adolescents on the autism
spectrum. Her
goal in treating students with ASD is to help them become as effective communicators as possible, using
whatever means of communication are available to them.
Eulalia Gray, MA, CCC-SLP graduated from the University of Houston in 1984.
She obtained her
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in July,
1984. She holds a state license to practice speech-language pathology in Texas.
Mrs. Gray's experiences in the field of speech-language pathology include
being a teacher of
the deaf and being a public school therapist for over
10 years, working with deaf and multi-impaired students. She has been with
Associates in Speech,
Language and Learning, Inc. (ASLL) since 1993.
In addition to her work with ASLL, Mrs. Gray is also an adjunct clinical
supervisor for the University of
Houston's outreach program. As such, she supervises students in training to become speech-language
pathologists.
Mrs. Gray has served as President of the Houston Association for Communication Disorders and has served
the organization in several capacities. Her committment to serving HACD and the communicatively
impaired was recognized through her receiving the Tina Bang's Service Award
in 2002.
All of our therapists are licensed in Texas and certified through the American
Speech, Language and
Hearing Association (ASHA). Collectively we have 75 years of experience working with communication disorders.
All therapists have expertise in autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and all
attend conferences to insure that they are up to date on current research.
Each therapist has her own area of expertise related to
deaf/hearing-impaired education, stuttering, computer assisted technology
and social language skills.
