Mary Ann Moore, M.A., CCC-SLP, is an ASHA-certified and state-licensed speech-language pathologist with over twenty-five years of experience helping children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, stuttering, cleft palate, stroke recovery, language delay and other speech-related problems.
Mary Ann has extensive experience treating children, adolescents and adults who stutter. She is a provider for SpeechEasy, an antistuttering device. Additionally, she has both clinical and public school experience working with children who are on the autism spectrum. Her focus is to bring the client to the highest possible level of competence and to enhance his or her quality of life.
Mary Ann also facilitates a group for the Houston Area Parkinson's Society, assisting with maintenance of speech and oral motor skills. Mary Ann has been certified by LSVT Global, LLC to provide treatment for individuals with speech disorders related to Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders using the LSVT (trademark sign) modalities.
She holds a master's degree from the University of Houston and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. In order to offer the best service to her clients, Mary Ann regularly attends conferences and symposiums that provide up-to-date training and information on the latest research. Mary Ann is a former president of the Houston Association for Communication Disorders.
Mary Ann has presented at local, state and national conferences. Recently, Ms. Moore was invited to speak in Monterrey, Mexico at OCA Hospital's symposium "Actualidades in los problemas del habla and trastornos relacionados" ("Current Treatment for Speech and Language and Related Disorders"). Her topics included teaching reading comprehension and working with students on the autism spectrum. In 2006 she presented training in Monterrey for professionals on training parents to help their children at home.
Eulalia (Lali) Gray, M.A., CCC-SLP graduated from the University of Houston in 1984. She holds a state license to practice speech therapy in Texas as well as state certifications in Elementary Education, English, Deaf Education and Supervision.
Lali was a teacher of the deaf working with teenagers with varying degrees of hearing loss for over seven years. As a speech-language pathologist she worked in the public schools with hearing-impaired children in the parent-infant program, middle and high school and with multi-impaired students for more than 12 years.
As an adjunct clinical supervisor for the University of Houston's Communication Disorders program she supervised students at the graduate level for 17 years.
Lali served as president of the Houston Association for Communication Disorders (HACD) and received its highest honor, the Tina Bangs Service Award in 2002. She remains an active member of HACD and the Alexander Graham Bell Association.
She has been with Associates in Speech, Language and Learning, Inc. since 1993. Lali specializes in working with children who have severe articulation disorders including apraxia, voice disorders and impaired social skills. She also works with adults who have congenital or acquired hearing loss.
Chrissie Buse, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, graduated from Texas State University with a master's degree in speech pathology and is ASHA-certified and state-licensed. She is a trained assistive technology consultant. She has expertise in conducting assistive technology assessments in children and developing effective plans for implementing the use of low to high-tech assistive technology devices and strategies for communication across environments. She has extensive experience working in the public schools with children of all ages with a wide variety of abilities and challenges.
Chrissie has presented at local conferences for public and private school educators. She presented at the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association's 2009 Annual Convention on training parents to use assistive technology strategies at home to help their children with communication, language and literacy skills.
